Hi - just purchased plugin. I am trying to import an excel file datasource into MySQL, the preview looks fine but upon creating the table the first column is not imported. Tried with both xlsx and cvs files and same thing. Here's a portion of the data. The first column does not get imported (linkName). Also, how does a link url column get created (using the || format)? Do I create from fields generated by an Sql query after my table is created in MySql? Thanks for your help.
OK, I figured out what my problem - I didn't import the excel/csv file using wpdatatables ( I used the media importer - my bad) . So, problem solved.
Second part of my question: How does a link url column get created (using the || format)? Do I create from fields generated by an Sql query after my table is created in MySql? I have a NAME column and a corresponding URL column. how do I create a link column as URL||NAME" so that the name is a link?
Hi Marv,
Thank you for your purchase.
We are glad that you solved he issue.
There is couple of ways how to insert || in url column. You can do manually when you make a table to insert || for every row, if you are using file for making wpdatatables you can make column that contains url with pipes and name or if you are using mysql you can try with CONCAT( url, '||', name) AS URL, where url is column in mysql with urls, and name is column with names in mysql table.
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic
