Hi,
when exporting a table as excel sheet, float values are being exported with the wrong value. Instead of 2.5, I get 250, for example. Column is float(16,4) in DB and set to 2 decimals in wpDataTables.
Is this a bug or expected behaviour?
Hi Johannes,
Thank you for your purchase.
Can you please check option Number format in main settings of plugin. Try to change format and then export a table as excel sheet.
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic

Hi Milan,
number format is set to 15.000,00. This is exactly what I need because it's the German standard.
If I change it to 15,000.00 and export to xlsx, I get values of 3,50 for the column, which is what I'd like to have. However, it's not an option to use 15,000.00 because it's not German standard and my users will keep entering wrong data.
Hi Johannes,
Sorry for late response.
We are located in Serbia and our working time is from 10:00 to 17:00 CET. business days.
If the data in database have values for example 2,5 and you set "Number format" to 15.000,00 you will get the data in export file like you want. Can you tell me which format of float do you have in database?(with . or ,)
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic

Hi Milan,
how do I change the database float format? As far as I know, I cannot set the decimal separator to ,
Hi Johannes,
Yes you are right it cannot be set the decimal separator to comma in database when you are using floats,
but you can change the type to varchar and insert float numbers with comma.

Hi Milan,
with all due respect, but doing so would be absolutely against data consistency, totally inefficient and validation and calculations wouldn't work any more. This is not a solution I'd expect from a web developer.
All I want to do is have float data exported the way it's displayed - like this: 15.000,00
Thank you
Hi Johannes,
Unfortunately I can confirm now that this is the bug on our side and thank you very much for reporting it. I forwarded this to my team to put on TO DO list to be fixed. Thank you very much for reporting this and sorry for any inconvenience. Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic
