Unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin build in features at the moment. We are currently testing our new Add on for our plugin which will have this feature included, so stay tuned.
This addon is on the testing stage as we speak right now.
There will be some more features including "cascade" filtering and we need to be sure that everything is working fine before the release ( because there is no beta version of it)
As a workaround, there is some code customization by our developers but this can be quite expensive and the addon is much more cheaper and there are some other features.
Unfortunately I can not guarantee that it will be released this week. When we finish testing it and prepare a release we must wait for the Envato approval because it is a new product and this can take some time until it will be available at the store.
I am talking about values that come from a MySQL table as foreign keys. My sql query has "order by ID" in it but in the dropdown always displays them alphabetically.
Can you please send me the ID of the table and column name so I can take a look.
( Note: We are still investigating the issue with the translation and i forwarded it to my team, so as soon as I have an answer I will get back to you.)
Because this column is using foreign keys and it is pulling the values from other table unfortunately you can not sort the data by your desire, the plugin automatically sort it alphabetically and the option that I attached you is not possible due the foreign key relation.
The foreign key is the newest feature that came out with this version of plugin and we will definitely consider implementing some more functionality for foreign key feature.
I have another suggestion for you. My users would like to have the possibility of setting their own predefined values for wpDataTable forms in their profile.
So when user A opens the form, they will always have the value 1 preselected, but user B will always have value 2 preselected on the same form and column. If this worked for foreign keys, too, that'd be really amazing! Users could save a lot of time.
Hi,
I have a table with categories and subcategories in separate columns. All of them can be selected using dropdowns (single-value selectbox).
I would like to show users only the subcategories which are part of the categorie they selected. Any ideas on how to do that?
The values are stored in two separate MySQL tables and are linked via a foreign key 'categorieid' in the subcategorie table.
