Sorry but I did not quite understand what are you trying to achieve. Can you please describe me more and provide me with some example of it so I can give you my suggestion.
2. Define fields - Title (one line string), Parent (integer)
3. Create a new table with standard editor
4. Add record with values - Title = First Category, Parent = 1
5. Configure column "Parent" - change column type to string, select "use values from another wpDataTable" and select table "Category", display value "Title" and store value "wdt_ID".
I would expect to have the column "Parent" as a foreign key, but it's not working as expected.
I hope you can now understand and reproduce the issue.
I would appreciate a much explanation what I'm doing wrong.
Foreign keys are the newest feature which is available for this version of plugin and there are some issues with it that will be fixed for the upcoming update. This looks like a bug on our side and I will forward this issue to my team so we can solve it for the next update of the plugin.
Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.
I can not tell you exactly the date when it will be out but we hope that it will be released in a couple of weeks, probably in the first or second week of November.
Hi,
I'm trying to create reference / foreign key field targeting to the same table.
Example: I want to create table "Category" with field "Parent" which should be a reference to the same table "Category".
How can I accomplish that please?
When creating new field type "string" as a foreign key to the same table, I always get red popup with "Internal server error".
Hi Petkor5,
Thank you for your purchase.

Best regards.

Hi Bogdan,
it's pretty easy to reproduce.
I'm able to reproduce it on http://sandbox.wpdatatables.com with the following steps:
1. Create a table manually with name "Category"
