I am trying to use a placeholder in a query. The query runs fine when I use a hard coded parameter value. But when I replace it with '%VAR1%' it fails and leads to a blanks screen.
Bringing up the console I see the following:
/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)
I suspect I may have SSL problems but would appreciate knowing what call you are trying to make that would cause this to fail.
403 error usually happens due some security reasons.
My suggestion is to check your server log and see if there are some issues and also if you have some security plugins please try to deactivate it and see if it will work after that. You can find more about the error in the link that I provided.
I have tested this several times and it doesn't make sense. I have four other tables defined with a placeholder and they work fine. The query I am using works fine without the placeholder and only fails when I insert '%VAR1%'.
At the moment we are not seeing anything in the error logs except that when wpDataTables tries to apply the placeholder it apparently is trying to access a forbidden resource.
Sorry for late response.
We are located in Serbia and our working time is from 10:00 to 17:00 CET. business days.
Can you please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I understand there is a difference in time zones. No worries.
As I have mentioned before, I work for a security firm and it's against their policy to grant the kind of access you are requesting. I would be happy to provide any information you need from the site though.
What I can tell you right away is that if I change the placeholder to numeric so that the query uses %VAR1% instead of the original passing an email address to '%VAR1%' (note the single quotes) no error is thrown.
This is still curious because the other 4 tables I have created handle the email address parameter and '%VAR1%' without throwing an error.
Can you try to make a new table and see is issue is gone? You said that other tables work fine except that one. We are not sure what cause the issue without looking "inside".
