I encounter a graphical issue using Google charts engine / Line Chart displaying some table's values.
I meant, when I create tables with an imported excel file, everything is good on my chart. But when I add a row directly from the edited table, my chart have an unexpected behavior.
Moreover, when I add multiple rows, the following entries are sticking the one who bugs.
I really hope my english is understandable :D
Thanks for you reply, Regards
PS : I attached 2 screenshots => One with single entry and with multiple entries
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Also point me to the table and chart ID and columns from which you want to create chart so I can try to reproduce the issue.
That lines are displaying some data from the table. Can you please check follow table filtering option for that chart and tell me the result. ( attachment)
The "issue" is that manual tables are server side tables and they can not be non server side.
When the table is server side chart display depends on the showing entries of the table and that is why you can see all of the data from the chart when the Showing All entries in the table are displayed. I assume that you set to show 10 entries and because of that the chart is rendered by just those 10 entries.
My suggestion is that if you do not have to much rows and columns, to make a Excel table and in that case the chart will always display the whole content from the table.
The fact is that I chose "manual tables" because I would have liked to add new rows directly from the back office without import the excel file each time I update the table.
Then create MySQL table where the query should be SELECT * FROM nameofthattable nameofthattable refers to your current manual created table.
After that create chart from MySQL table. In this case you add Entries in Manual table and the MySQL table will be auto filled with that entries. You can disable the Server side option for mysql table so the charts will be displaying all of the data always.
The only issue is that Follow table filtering option for charts will not be available.
I tried to create MySQL table from my manual created table but i get this error (attachment) I tried to modify enable/disable in different options tabs but the error still appear.
The "issue" is definitely in the files because it looks like there are lot of similar values and that is why you have that two lines. I even tried to make highchart with your file and this is the result. ( attachment) You will notice the lines on the right side of the chart.
You right when you say that we have a lot of similar values in that table. But the file (I suppose you are talking about excel table) works well when I display all rows at once or simply not add rows from manual table. How can you explain that ?
Moreover, if I use an other chart like "Scatter", I've no issue but the table remains the same. (any clue ?)(attachment)
Thank you, Regards
PS: HighCharts & Chartjs using the line chart, there is an issue about the date (you can notice that the new entry should be added to the left corner)
Sorry for misunderstood i looked a little bit more on this issue. It looks like the table below the chart is not the table ID from which is chart created.
Can you please tell me is the table ID the same as the ID from which the chart is created.
No problem for the missunderstood. Yes, you right, this is not the table from which the chart is created. This is because you asked me to do it. Do you remember ? (attachment)
The chart (ID 11) is created from the table ID 43 which is the MySQL table. (as you asked me to do) Who's exactly the same that the one displayed on the page (ID 34)
I put the MySQL table on the page but the issue still appear even if I display all entries at once ... (attachment) Which is not happening when I use manual table
Unfortunately this issue is not easy as it looks to solve.
Like I said, manual tables are always server side and the Follow table filtering option is only available if the server side option is turned on.
When the follow table filtering is checked with the server side options the chart will display only the visible data from the table which is currently displayed.
If you choose to display only the first 10 entries from the table the chart will display just those two entries. If you choose to display All of the entries ( like it is now) the chart will display all of them.
So unfortunately for now maybe the best option is like you did. Use some CSS to hide some of the entries and the chart will display all of the data.

Thanks for this wonderful plugin !

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
As you can see in the picture named "single-entry", 2 lines appear in the chart (one blue, one red).
Those lines are not supposed to appear and should be displayed like previous entries.
Thanks again,
Regards
PS : The values displayed in the chart are hidden in the table
Hi Phatza,
Can you please tell me how many entries are in the chart wizard for that chart ( attachment)
If there are those hidden columns there in the field can you please remove them and tell me the result.
Best regards.

Hey,
I got 3 entries in the chart wizard => date and 2 others.
I removed those entries that I display (excepted date) but added an other one because 2 entries are needed.
Then I clicked on "next" button and get an JS error in console (attachment).

Hi Bogdan,
As expected, the result display only the 10 first rows (as configured in the table ID 34) (attachment)
I would like to display every values of the table and keep displaying only 10 entries in the table. Is it possible ?
But I can notice that if I display all rows, the issue no longer exists ! :)
Thanks a lot Bogdan !

What shoud i do ?
Thanks a lot, again and again
Hi Phatza,
Ok, in that case I have some workaround for you
Keep that table and add the entries in it.
Then create MySQL table where the query should be
SELECT * FROM nameofthattable
nameofthattable refers to your current manual created table.
After that create chart from MySQL table.
In this case you add Entries in Manual table and the MySQL table will be auto filled with that entries.
You can disable the Server side option for mysql table so the charts will be displaying all of the data always.
The only issue is that Follow table filtering option for charts will not be available.
Best regards.

Disable/enable plugin fixed the error.
Then I've connected the chart with the new MySQL table but the issue still remains. (attachment)
I tried to delete rows then add them again but same issue.
Thanks,

Hello Bogdan,
Yes you're right.
This is because all entries are displayed but I made some CSS tricks to avoid getting a very long table.
The issue is not solved...
Do you have any clues to solve this ?
Hi Phatza,
Unfortunately this issue is not easy as it looks to solve.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Best regards.
