Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Also point me to the table ID so I can take a look.
Without eliminating this as a possibility, I'd prefer to troubleshoot without giving out login information for the moment. The site represents literally years of work.
I went back to the site and still had issues with the table. I added a formula column to attempt to force something and kick start the columns. Then I got the error
"DataTables warning: table id=table_2 - Requested unknown parameter '8' for row 0, column 8. For more information about this error, please see http://datatables.net/tn/4"
This error is on the new formula column I just added. But there was no way to delete the formula column. No trash can as illustrated in the documentation guide.
So I ended up starting a completely new table. This time everything works. I do not know if it was the upgrade of PHP, or the nuke and restart option, since I hadn't tried either one before.
I'd be happier if the first table I was working on could have been fixed.... I can't have everything, though.
Cannot get column settings to save.
Yes, I deactivated and reactivated the plug in.
Details on attached pdf with several screen shots and links to live vs. test pages.

What are other trouble-shooting steps I can take?
HI WifeOfCogerson,
We can try but in cases like this it will be very difficult to solve the issue if I can not see the plugin.
Nevertheless, can you please tell me which version of php do you use.
Thank you.
