How to have a columns hold a date that is auto filed when a record is created without giving the user the option to select a date. (i need an auto insert date).
Unfortunately something like this is not possible without some customization. You can take a look at our hooks and filters to find some useful hook to accomplish your request.
Thank you, is it possible to post an example of using the hooks and filters to achieve an auto-date into a column upon creating? that may be helpful i many others i think.
That page on documentation where you can find hooks and filters are just a helper for users that have experience and to give them hint when they are creating some custom feature.
Due to our support policy and because of users that have similar requests I can not provide such information. If you want our assistance we can offer you our paid customization service.
