We are using wpDataTables on our WordPress Intranet. On our home page, we display 1 Highcharts donut chart, soon to be 2. The table for the chart was created with the wpDataTable constructor and contains 3 columns and 2 rows of data.
We find that when loading the home page, the page loads quickly, but the chart takes a while to load, during which time you cannot click on other menus or links until the chart fully loads. The load time can be up to 10 seconds. I know 10 seconds sounds trivial, but when people are moving fast through he system, 10 seconds mind as well be 10 minutes. Is there some way to speed up the load time of the chart a little bit?
I inspected the page and didn't see anything of importance. Unfortunately I cannot make the site available on the Internet due to confidential information. The chart seems to load faster on subsequent page loads which is possibly due to caching on the server. What I may end up doing is removing the chart from the home page is adding it to it's own page where the loading is not an issue. If you have any clever ideas let me know. Otherwise you can close this ticket.
I think I figured it out. I was using highcharts and switched to the js charts. In doing so it went much quicker. Thanks for trying to help me though. I appreciate it.

Hi GileadIT,
Thank you for your purchase.
Very strange.
Can you please try to inspect that page and see the what may cause chart to load 10 seconds.
Also there might be the problem because it is Intranet so please tell if it is possible for your site to go live so I can investigate the issue.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Joe
I can not tell you any more information because I can not see that chart and inspect its behaviour so maybe your idea is the right one for now.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Best regards.
