I know we are referencing an outside source, i.e. Google Sheets, but on your end, you need to do some lifting to make the experience better for the user. This is a core task that most people do, dealing with tables with some sort of currency value and I'm not sure our frustrating experience is an isolated case.
Now, it took more than an hour just to fix the table so that it looks decent, but there are still some issues like:
the third column is NOT right-aligned
the third column does NOT end in two decimal places (because its an Float)
If we change the third column to a Float, then for some reason, the plugin rounds the value, i.e. from $10,000 to $10.
Another issue with this is that we won't be able to create a chart that works with the third column since its a string and not some numerical value.
Pls fix this as this is broken. We don't want to waste time figuring out why this doesn't work or trying to figure out hacks on making it work. Pls make it easy on the user experience.
In version 2.0 guessing column types feature is improved (it shouldn't guess column types incorrectly anymore). From 2.0 your first column will be guessed as string, second as float and third as integer.
Please note that for float columns, number format should be same in the data source and on the plugin settings page (If '.' is decimal separator in your file, on plugin settings page under Number Format should be selected 15,000.00).
This did NOT fix the issue. And I am getting fed up with this problem. It is not moving my company forward and I am beginning to be displeased in using this product.
On the data source, the number format is the same.
I changed the column type back to Number-Float and it keeps turning 10,000.00 into 10.00!
Do you still have problem when try to create a table by choosing Create a table by importing data from data source and uploading this file? I have tried and first column Day is guessed as String, second and third columns are guessed as float columns as it should be. Can you describe me in more details what issue do you have?
The Beta testing is over and the version 2.0.1 is officially released. We are working on auto update and I hope that it will be released soon, in the meantime you can update the plugin manually by following this steps:

2.) Use FTP to open /yourwordpressfolder/wp-content/plugins
3.) Delete existing wpdatatables folder.
4.) Upload previously downloaded wpdatatables folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)
5.) Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section.
6.) Deactivate wpDataTables, and then activate it again.
