Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    When I make a template with a docx or doc extension both the preview and the resulting report are downloaded as an xlsx file or an empty ajax page is opened (admin-ajax.php).  As such I cannot make word reports.  It doesn't seem to matter what I put in the Word template.  I have tried both the full report I need and pared down reports.  I have tried forcing docx or doc in the filename, adding "word" to the template name.

    Please advise.

    Hi Andrew DuPree,

    Could you send me temporary login credentials so I can take a look?

    Hi Andrew DuPree,

    It looks like I reset the password by going to email which ask me to set password first. Now it says that you need to approve my account. Sorry for incovniance.

    Hi Andrew DuPree,

    Error that I found when I tried to download report indicate that there is some kind of permissions problem, that PHP is unable to write to /tmp directory. Please check permission on that directory first.

    Our plugin use

    sys_get_temp_dir()

      php function to find temp directory on your server so you can start looking from there

    Oddly enough, EXCEL reports started working again today.  However, word template reports still take me to an empty page opening the ajax file. So my problem is still where I started excel templates work, word templates do not.

    Hi Andrew DuPree,

    It looks like you remove report from https://partnerforge.com/experiment-2/

    Report with ID 2 does not exist

    Please provide me admin access so I can take a look.

    Hi Andrew,

    For some reason I cannot upload changed report template on your website.

    If you are preparing a single MS Word DOCX report for all table’s rows, you can use repeating blocks for each row instead of a table. To do this use layout like:

    ${wpDataTable.row}

    Column1: ${column1.all}

    Column2: ${column2.all}

    …

    ${/wpDataTable.row}

    You can find more about this in our text documentation.

    Please try this and see does it helps.

    Thank you - it appears that my issues with the Word Template were pure ignorance.

    In other areas, here is what I have discovered:

    * Excel reports do not work if there is a zero value in an integer field.  Do not know why this breaks them. But it does. It shifts values over from the next field in the report.

    * A column that is somehow faulty ends up in a 403 error - as I found in a date column that I still have been unable to fix - (final) fix was disabling it and turning it to text.

    Cheers,

    Scott

    Hi Andrew,

    Sorry for delayed response. Is there a report on your website in which I can see this issues?

    No - I disabled the faulty field (and this is undoubtedly something that should not concern you). And I took out all zeros from my fields in the offending column.  I had used them as a first category.  This is an sql issue, I suppose, that I can live without.

    Any info on why Report Builder stops working with the new release of WpDatatables?  It does not seem to be able to locate the datatables after upgrade.

    Hi Andrew,

    We will release new version of Report Builder by the end of this week and that version should have all incompatibilities fixed

    And you were true to your word!

    Out of five excel reports, two of them work great with the update.  The other three will download without error in the back end.  But in the front end they do not download but end up on the dreaded blank ajax page - https://..../wp/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. Am determined to get them to work but that is where I am at.

    Hi Mkoche,

    Could you gave me a temporary admin access so I can take a look? If it is please open new ticket, make it private and send me credentials there.
