I want users to be able to see a chart and "follow table filtering". As regards table, I want users to see the names (headers) of fields and filters below. And I do NOT want users to see the content of the table. So, I thought of a workaround to show 0 entries only. I did it via hooks as described in Alexander's tutorial. Yet, when you load a page, it shows 10 entries and the table hides only after 0 entries is explicitly chosen.
Any ideas howto hide a table and yet keep filtering options?
Something like this is not possible with the plugin build in features and it requires some code customization. We develop some similar customizations for example: On page load the table is hidden. The Filter in form option is checked and you have ( for example) ID filter visible. By that filter there is a button so when the user enter the ID and click on that button the table is shown. There is an example in attachment file so please take a look.
If you are interested please give us detailed instructions and we can send you quote for this service.
Can you please send me your file from which you want to create this functionality so I can take a look. Also give me more details or send me some screenshots where you can describe me what you want and how would this customization would look like so I can give you a quote.
Before we move to the next step, I find it useful to clarify the following: when viewing source, i.e. pressing ctrl+u in google chrome, there is an entire table in html and all hidden columns and filtered out rows are seen. So, a technical savvy user can just take all the table. Is there a way to prevent this action?

Hi leolonya,
It is a possibility to be done but it is much more time consuming solution and accordingly to that the price will be much more higher.
