There seems to be a bug when I try to paste info into the Excel Editor.
Example columns: Company Name, Location (City + State), City, State
My page displays Company Name and Location and the City and State is only used in the filter to filter by. Since I make the City and State invisible on the page it seems that when I paste additional data in the Excel Editor that contain Company Name, Location, City, State, that the City and State get ignored. When I make the two columns visible, City and State pastes just fine.
I think I should be able to paste data into invisible columns as well if I am providing the data. I should also be able to edit the data in the invisible columns.
Here is another example (see attachment) ... I pasted row 14 data. Column Sort had the number 14 in that row when I copied it from an Excel spreadsheet and pasted it in the Excel-edotor in the plugin. All other values paste just fine except the Sort number 14, which is an invisible column and because the column is marked as invisible, the value gets ignored and doesn't paste.
Sorry for misunderstanding I thought you use Copy button from the table tools in front end.
Now I understand your issue so can you please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Also point me to the table ID so I can investigate it. Thank you.
Now I see. Unfortunately this is how the Excel like tables are working. You can take a look at our documentation about Standard wpDataTable vs. Excel-like (Handsontable) interface where you can see that the hidden columns and pasting the values from them are not yet supported.

I use Windows command CTRL+V to paste the values. I don't see a Paste button in the plugin but maybe there is some feature I am missing?
