I have some tables saved as Google sheets. Since I am using Turkish settings, the decimal mark is comma ","
If I import a number with a comma and set the column as float, the decimals are converted to zero when displayed. For instance 47,78 becomes 47,00
If I import the same number from an Excel sheet it is displayed as 47,78 which is correct.
If I go to my Google sheet and change the comma into a dot (47,78 to 47.78) the this is displayed as 47,78. However this would mean that I cannot use Google sheets since all of my tables have comma as decimal mark.
How can I use Google sheets as a source for wpdatables if my decimal sign is a comma as opposed to a dot?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I see what the issue is. You can use dot instead of comma as decimal separator after that you can choose number format in settings page if you want to display it in your local.
I don't know if you can change the decimal seperator only without changing the locale setting. In order to use dot instead of comma as decimal seperator on Google Sheet, I need to change the locale setting of the entire sheet to something like United States where they use dot as decimal seperator. However in that case my dates are displayed in English as opposed to Turkish. So this workaround creates other problems.
Maybe you could address this issue in your next update?
I understand you and surely I will add a task in our TODO list, so we can solve this kind of problem with commas and dots in Google Spreadsheets for future updates. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for reporting this to us. If you have any more issues feel free to open a new ticket we will gladly help. Thank you.
