We organise classic car events in Europe and display entry lists on our site in vehicle age order. When we receive an entry we have to upload the full entry list over and over; this can be time consuming and problematic when we have 12 events per year with over 100 entries (at times) per event.
Is there a way to enter a single line entry between two existing entries?
e.g. Fred Bloggs / Joe Schmoe ANY car 1999cc 1951
Fred Bloggs / Joe Schmoe ANY car 1999cc 1953
Would be existing entries to the event.
How would I add
Fred Bloggs / Joe Schmoe ANY car 1999cc 1952
in between the two without having to export a full excel sheet of data?
Hope I have been clear and given you enough information.
Easiest way to do this if you do not want to change the and upload the file after every entry is to create table using wpDataTables constructor. Please take a look at our documentation and choose the first option Building and filling in the tables manually and select create the table and open in Excel-like editor. (Attachment)
You can add your data for example Fred Bloggs / Joe Schmoe ANY car 1999cc 1952 and in Optional Column setup for date column select default sort column ascending or descending. In that case every time you add something it will add it to the table and sort it to the date order. Please give it a try and tell me did you menage to create something. Thank you.
The pleasure is mine. You are welcome. Let me know what you achieved. If you like our plugin and support please rate our plugin at CodeCanyon on this link. It means a lot to us. Thanks.
By being able to copy and paste directly from an excel spreadsheet and have the system sort automatically from the editable front-end, you have saved me hours of work per week.
I will contact you soon about integration with some membership software we use, it would be great if it could communicate automatically with WP DataTables.
