Just noticed that "Display length" option does not work. No matter what I put there: 10,25,50, ALL - The table always renders only 10 per page. The "Display length" setting have saved correctly.
ReferenceError: wpmUi is not defined
/wp-admin/:2019
It is because of the Custom Sidebars plugin and when it is active it breaks all JS on your admin page. Please try to deactivate it and see if the display length will work. Also I suggest you to contact Custom Sidebars and ask them what may cause this issue.
Please take a look at the attachment where you can see that the display length is working. I saw that error on admin page when I logged in but now the error is gone.
Also in the admin area it now show all the data from the table. Take a look at the attachments. Can you please try now to clear the cache. Notice: No errors also.
On "SDS Default" table selected "All". You are in the backend you can see this yourself. 2 tables, id=3 "SDS Default" (ALL) and id=7 "MSDS Default" (50) .
Sorry for misunderstanding. The editor always shows first 10 entries(or less if you have less than 10) but you can change it on select box that i previously send you in the attachment. If you take a look you in Additional settings for table and for Display length option you will see this : "This options defines the default number of entries on the page for this table." So it is just for the page and for the preview not for the editor.
When you click preview I can see 43 ( Attachment 1) When I add table ID 7 on page table shows also 43 rows ( Attachment 2) Only when you click Go to editor it shows 10 because it is build in like that. It can not be changed to show 50 entries when you click on Go to editor but you can change it on select box when you editing it.
When I said "This options defines the default number of entries on the page for this table." I meant this Attachment 3.
"When I add table ID 7 on page table shows also 43 rows ( Attachment 2)" - This is frontpage, but I want to edit the table from the backend. I need this to show all rows coz thats what client asked. Now I made him a shortcut link in the admin left panel and call "wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpdatatables-editor&table_id=7". Is there a way to alter this url so that edit page will load the number of rows according to set "Display length"?
Unfortunately there is no way to show all rows when you click "Go to editor" for now. But you can click "Go to Excel like editor" and it will open all the rows that are in the table. This is the url - Link
1) The dropdown still shows 10 even though the table displays "ALL" http://prnt.sc/dv0zai Is there a way to make it change also?
2) Since I use draw(), this happens after initial table load, which is essentially extra table reload. Is there a way to run this before table load? Or maybe to hook into php where it sets the "10" limit?

This is the admin area, and no caching plugin. The only cache is of the browser and I did CTRL+F5 a few times already.

I disabled the plugin you suggested. I do not see any error in the console. And I don't remember seeing it before either.
I changed to 50 and saved (just to be sure) and still it shows only 10. You already have out admin, I am talking about this page: http://actvtec.info/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpdatatables-editor&table_id=7
and http://actvtec.info/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpdatatables-editor&table_id=3
Unless I am missing something. Where did you see the JS error?
Hi Dima,

Yes I see it works on front, I guess there never was a problem in the frontend. But my examples are from the admin area.
And there you can see that always 10.

It looks like your screenshots are from "preview" . But if you click "Go to editor" and go to that page - still a problem.
Hi Dima,
Take a look at the attachment from the editor.
Did you select to show 25 entries or more on this select box.

Here is what I have on id=7 table: http://prnt.sc/dteqb3
I do not understand what you are referring to.
Hi Dima
Ok we are looking table ID 7.
When you click preview I can see 43 ( Attachment 1)
When I add table ID 7 on page table shows also 43 rows ( Attachment 2)

Ok I did it like this:
This generally works, but there are 2 problems:
1) The dropdown still shows 10 even though the table displays "ALL" http://prnt.sc/dv0zai Is there a way to make it change also?
2) Since I use draw(), this happens after initial table load, which is essentially extra table reload. Is there a way to run this before table load? Or maybe to hook into php where it sets the "10" limit?
Thanks
Hi Dima,
Based on what you are need with this you can solve it in multiple ways.
You can remove that dropdown with CSS if you don't need it.
If you only need to present all the data and do not want pagination at all you can find this file
../wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/controllers/wdt_admin.php
and in it, around line 1104 after
add
or if you want to respect lenght saved on table settings instead of previous line add
This will show number of rows specified on table settings but will not update mentioned dropdown.
Full solution with dropdown update will require code customization.
