We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

    Hi,

Since the taxes option in Amelia, the prices on the site for several services are not showing vat anymore because we use woocommerce tax settings.

We cannot activate Amelia tax settings, because we need an integration with our bookkeeping system + we need invoices sent with website orders. Two options that Amelia doesn't offer.

However, we still want to show the amount and the percentage of tax that will be calculated in the Amelia booking form.

How can we solve this? Activate both tax settings and use 0% in Woocommerce?

    Thanks for your advice

    Hi Elisabeth,

When the taxes option is turned on in Amelia, it only shows the amount at the last step (summary). On the first page, it is displayed as  +VAT or incl. VAT, depending on your choice in Amelia.

I might be missing something, but even with the WooCoomerce taxes enabled, it doesn't show anything on the booking form. Those prices with the tax should be visible on the WooCoomerce shop page. Even if you have WooCoomerce Taxes enabled along with the Amelia Taxes, it will display them like this on the first page

I probably understood wrong, can I ask you to explain a bit more?

Hello Stefan, thanks for answering so quickly! I'll try to explain better:

    1. I understood that we had to choose between Amelia tax settings OR Woocommerce tax settings, but that both was no option. If we choose Amelia taxes, we have the 2 issues with invoice and bookkeeping. If we choose Woocommerce taxes, no tax is shown in the Amelia booking forms.

    2. If that is NOT true, and we CAN have both tax settings activated, than taxes are added twice in the end. Therefore, to have the right VAT amount showing in Amelia on the website, I thought a workaround could maybe be to add a 0% VAT rule in Woocommerce and have that applied to the products and services in Amelia so the price will be correct in the end. But of course, I don't want to cause any software conflicts between Woocommerce and Amelia by activating both tax settings at the same time.

I hope you see the problem now and advise us on the best options.

    Hi Elisabeth,

Thanks for the additional information. I've just spoken with developers regarding this use case. Apparently, it's more complicated than it looks and it would require customization since both of these options wont work together. That being said, even though the customization could include the introduction of the label on Amelia booking form that the tax will be on the WooCoomerce Checkout page, the issue would be that the WooCoomerce tax depends on the country, and we don't have the option to know that when we are on our booking form. Currently, I can only suggest you to suggest this as a feature on our page.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.
